Cyber fraud – a new hope?

We have previously warned of the threat posed by fraudsters who are targeting solicitors’ client accounts to misappropriate funds.

The situation worsened to the extent that the Law Society issued an alert in February 2015.   Unfortunately, we have seen the frequency of the attacks increase again over recent months and a further alert was issued by the Law Society on 3 November 2015 (click here to read) in conjunction with the Council of Mortgage Lenders to raise awareness further.
