This fortnight we highlight (amongst others) extraordinary investments in eSports, a sports data tie-up involving Lacrosse, a London-based skateboard shop's partnership with Juventus FC, and (of course) the Special One's arrival at Spurs.

1. Levelling-up: eSports investment accelerates
eSports organisation Misfits Gaming Group has funded $10 million into the launch of its eSports and gaming incubator MSF.IO.
2. Footballers to fashionistas: Juventus team up with streetwear brand
London-based streetwear brand, Palace Skateboards, teamed up with Serie A giants, Juventus, to create a vibrant 4th football kit and leisurewear collection.
3. Lacrosse Logiq - new live sports data partnership for the NLL
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) has appointed Sportlogiq as its Official Statistics Partner.
4. Retail returns: Nike ceases wholesale sales to Amazon
Nike has confirmed it will cease wholesale sales to Amazon in a bid to focus on direct to customer sales.
5. Athletes United: athletes challenge sponsorship restrictions
Global Athlete, an international athlete-led organisation, has backed a group of Team GB athletes in possible legal action against the British Olympic Association (BOA).

It would be remiss not to mention the turbulent times for managers in and around north London; in just one fortnight, we have seen Emery's exit at Arsenal, the sacking of Flores at Watford, and Mourinho's appointment at Spurs. Times of managerial change are a timely reminder that clubs do need to tread carefully. Replacing managers can trigger chain reactions of clubs terminating agreements with incumbent managers, and seeking replacements who may be contracted elsewhere.
