Published on 22 April 2021

Welcome to Money Covered, a monthly podcast from RPC aimed at those dealing with complaints, claims and risk management in the financial services sector.

For our first episode Rachael Healey is joined by co-host Ash Daniells and Partner Rob Morris to discuss the key news and developments in the industry for the month of March including; the latest proposals for audit reform and guidance from the Pensions Regulator for the Pensions Schemes Act 2021.  We then go on to focus on 2 key topics chosen by our guests.

The first hot topic is the decision handed down by the Court of Appeal in Adams v Carey. We give a brief overview of the case before discussing the decision handed down and exploring what this means for the SIPP industry and wider financial services sector.

We then move on to discuss the latest FCA update on DB pension transfers. Rob explains how the latest changes will affect the assumptions currently used to calculate redress payments to ensure that payments made are fair and to prevent anyone being under compensated.

We hope you enjoy this update and if you did please subscribe.
