RPC strengthens award-winning Technology practice with leading Partner hire

The move reflects RPC's continued investment in its Commercial and Technology offering to support the firm's rapid growth within the technology sector.

RPC hires its fourth Commercial Partner in 2022 as it expands its market-leading Commercial group

International law firm RPC has hired Commercial, Technology and Outsourcing lawyer Tania Williams to join the firm's award-winning Technology practice in London as a Partner. Tania starts from the 4 July 2022.

Tania joins RPC from Deloitte, where she specialised in outsourcing and technology-based transactions, with a particular focus on large scale outsourcing projects, business process outsourcing and complex procurement.

She has worked with a broad client base across a range of sectors, including financial services, healthcare and pharma, professional services and real estate. 

The move reflects RPC's continued investment in its Commercial and Technology offering to support the firm's rapid growth within the technology sector. The Technology practice is part of the firm's rapidly growing market-leading Commercial Group, that saw Tom Purton, Travers Smith' former head of Commercial, IP and Technology, join last year. RPC has one of the leading and most comprehensive Commercial practices in the City, spanning the firm's sector focus on retail, tech, media and insurance.

RPC's market leading Technology practice, which works in close tandem with the firm's preeminent IP, Media and Corporate teams and provides a full technology offering of transactional, regulatory and litigation advice to major global technology players and high-profile clients. It has won TMT Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards in two consecutive years (2021 and 2020) for its work for Facebook on its Independent Oversight Board and LINK, the UK’s largest cash machine network.

Tania's arrival means the firm has welcomed 24 new Partners to its Commercial Group in just over two years across its UK, Hong Kong and Singapore offices, through a combination of strategic lateral hires and promotion of internal talent. 

The hire comes shortly after the Commercial Group promoted Alex Vakil, Alex Wilson, Sarah Mountain, Charlotte Henschen and Ed Colville to the Partnership. RPC now has 124 Partners across the firm.
