RPC steps in for Park Place Technologies on acquisition of Prestige
Deal is the second RPC has advised Park Place Technologies on in last 12 months
City law firm RPC has advised multinational Park Place Technologies on the acquisition of West Midlands-based Prestige Systems.
The deal gives Park Place Technologies access to Prestige's IT infrastructure, including Virtualisation, Storage, Break-Fix, Managed Support, and a range of ‘Cloud-based’ solutions.
This is the second deal that RPC has advised Park Place Technologies on recently, after supporting it on the 2016 acquisition of London's Com-Com. That saw Park Place Technologies add IT storage, server, and networking support.
Corporate Partner Richard Haywood led on both deals, with assistance from Associate Ben Heywood, Legal Director Graham Spalding and Trainee Alex Farrow from the firm's Corporate team. The recent deal also saw Ben Roberts (Tax), Rachel Lord (Employment), Gabby Ives (Real Estate) and Adam Cusworth (IP and Technology) offering support.
Commenting on the deal, Richard said: "We really enjoy working with the Park Place Technologies team. Working together on this latest acquisition, we have been able to bring to bear our methodology for dealing with M&A transactions in an efficient and cost effective way."
Park Place Technologies – part of Chicago private equity firm GTCR's portfolio of businesses – is a leading provider of hardware maintenance and support and one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the US. With the recent acquisitions, its UK offering is fast growing and reinforcing Park Place Technologies an exciting client of the firm.
The deal closed on 12 May 2017.
