RPC Senior Partner secures second term
International firm RPC has reappointed Oliver Bray for a second term as Senior Partner with unanimous support.
Commenting on his first term and vision for his second, Oliver says: "It is a privilege to be re-elected as RPC's Senior Partner. When I started the role three years ago, my core aim was to represent our brilliant Partners across the whole business and to do whatever I could to help grow the distinctive RPC culture. It's what distinguishes us, allows our people to thrive and why we attract stellar recruits. Our culture underpins the firm's overall strategy of helping clients and our people achieve their ambition.
"Looking back, I think the time spent listening to people at all levels across the firm has helped foster an environment in which everyone can be themselves and fulfil their potential. In my second term, I want to move the bar even higher and play my part in expanding the way in which RPC's positive culture benefits everyone who works here, our clients and those who interact with us."
The success of this approach can be seen in the firm's recent Responsible Business Report and employee survey results and achievements. These include 85% of RPC's people feeling inspired by the direction the firm is taking and the opportunities that path creates, improved diversity across the partnership, its lawyers and business support personnel, and wider growth across the whole firm.
Managing Partner James Miller adds: "It is no surprise that the partnership has elected Oliver to a second term as Senior Partner. Not only is he a leading lawyer in his field advising some of the world's biggest names in technology, his passion for our people and the energy that he brings to all he does is infectious. It's these attributes that have further strengthened our culture while delivering our hallmark high-quality advice and client service."
Entering his 20th year at RPC, Oliver continues to be recognised as a leading commercial lawyer, advising clients in Digital Media/Emerging Technologies, Advertising and Marketing, Data Protection and Consumer Law. He is identified as a Leading Individual by the Legal Directories for the RPC Tier 1 Brand Management practice and is in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for Commercial Contracts. He is also Chairman of the City of London Law Society Commercial Law Committee, a member of the Ad Law Group and an editorial board member of Digital Business Lawyer and Entertainment Law Review. He is a former winner of the Best Client Partner award at the British Legal Awards.
