RPC moves UK offices to remote working
International law firm RPC has asked all its people in the UK to work remotely, with immediate effect. The firm will keep its London and Bristol offices open and operational to ensure it can continue to offer the highest levels of service to its clients, but the vast majority of its people will be working away from RPC premises until further notice.
RPC Managing Partner James Miller said: "We have made this decision with the health and wellbeing of our people and our clients firmly at the front of mind, and in line with prevailing UK Government guidance. We are continuing to support our clients' business needs in the normal way, and remain very much functioning as normal from a client point of view. Our people are well used to working remotely, and we have established agile working systems in place, so we expect it to have no impact on client service delivery."
RPC's offices in Hong Kong and Singapore have been operating under business continuity arrangements since January 2020 in line with local government advice; this has included both remote working and giving people the option to stagger shifts to avoid busy commuting periods.
James Miller said: "These are undoubtedly challenging times for us all. I wish the best of health to our people and their families, our clients, and everyone in our community, and look forward to the time that we can return to something resembling normality."
