Russia/CIS disputes Partner to boost global arbitration and litigation capability

• Tatiana Minaeva joins from Jones Day

• Acts on international arbitration – commercial and sovereign disputes 

• Fifth international disputes partner hired in last 12 months

Law firm RPC's global dispute resolution capability has received a further boost with the hire of Russia/CIS specialist Tatiana Minaeva. A Russian, English and German speaker, Tatiana joins the firm's London office and will have a particular focus supporting clients across Russia, other CIS states and Eastern Europe, as well as in Israel and Turkey.

Tatiana will be the sixth new Partner to join RPC's Commercial & Financial Markets Disputes team in the last 12 months, following the internal promotion of Alan Williams and the recent hires of Paul Bagon (London), Charles Allen (Hong Kong), Gerald Yee (Singapore) and Sam Tate (London).

Currently at US firm Jones Day, Tatiana was previously a partner at Stephenson Harwood where she joined from White & Case (Moscow). She is admitted to the Russian bar. She will build on RPC's existing Russia/CIS capability, which has recently seen the team act in a number of high profile disputes, including for Oleg Deripaska against Vladimir Chernukhin and Bank St Petersburg against Vitaly Arkhangelsky.

Tatiana represents clients in both arbitration and litigation in complex cross-border disputes throughout the region, with particular experience in cases regarding joint ventures, loan agreements, fraud, foreign investments, energy and construction matters. She is currently handling disputes for and against sovereigns in the CIS.

She has an impressive track record of handling complex cross-border disputes both for and against governments of CIS states, as well as on behalf of both corporate entities and investors.

Tatiana is on the panel of many of the leading arbitral tribunals, including SIAC, HKIAC, ICC (Russian National Committee), and has acted as an arbitrator under the Rules of UNCITRAL and LCIA. She is widely published on issues relating to complex multi-jurisdictional disputes, and is recommended in Chambers, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal.

She joins RPC in September 2019.
