RPC hires highly-ranked commercial contracts Partner to growing IP, Tech and Media Group
RPC has hired leading commercial contracts lawyer Paul Joukador into its growing IP, Technology and Media Group in London.
Paul – previously a Partner at transatlantic firm Hogan Lovells – has significant experience handling complex and business critical commercial projects across a range of sectors, notably:
- Technology
- Retail
- Consumer goods
- Fashion
- Transport and automotive
Highly-ranked for commercial contracts in both Legal 500 and Chambers, Paul advises on cross-border supply agreements, outsourcing, critical services and distribution structures. He has also supported a broad range of businesses – including many well-known brands – in launching new products or services into the UK and EU markets, handling transformation projects, navigating complex supply chain challenges, and adopting new technologies into their operations.
Group Head, Jeremy Drew, said: "Landing Paul is a significant coup for us and is a measure of the reputation that our IP, Technology and Media Group has built. Demand for high-quality commercial and technology lawyers is extremely strong. His sector expertise – particularly in technology and retail – fits neatly with core focus areas of our firm.
"With 10 Partners and over 40 lawyers in total, we now have one of the largest and best-regarded commercial offerings in the City, handling the full range of transactional and contentious work from IP and licensing, through data and privacy, to outsourcing and e-commerce, and everything in between.
"Paul shares our commitment to collegiality, collaboration and client service, both in the way we deal with our clients and how we cooperate internally. Following shortly after the arrival of fellow commercial Partner Jon Bartley and the promotion of privacy and data Partner Nicola Cain, his addition gives us the added firepower to make the most of the growth opportunities we see in the market."
Paul Joukador said: "RPC's top-ranked Commercial Contracts team is very highly regarded. I'm looking forward to helping to build on that reputation as part of the wider IP, Technology and Media Group.
"The challenge for all law firms – particularly in those sectors my clients occupy – remains the ability to deliver the right business solution and to demonstrate commercial value in the process. RPC is well-placed to meet that challenge head on and increasingly be seen as the go-to firm for complex commercial contracts work in technology, retail, media and the other sectors in which it excels."
Paul's arrival comes after a run of recent high-profile client appointments for the Group at RPC, winning spots on panels for technology companies, digital platforms, and well-known brands.Stay connected and subscribe to our latest insights and views
