RPC advises Shepherd Neame in respect of its long-term logistics and distribution operations
International law firm RPC has advised Shepherd Neame in respect of one of its most significant contracts to date as it enhances its warehousing and logistics partnership with GXO Logistics (GXO), and substantially invests in its Faversham warehouse and improves its secondary distribution operations.
Speaking about the new agreement, Chief Executive, Jonathan Neame, said: “We are pleased to be investing in this new partnership with GXO to improve service levels for our customers, and look forward to a successful working partnership.”
The relationship between Shepherd Neame and GXO was established in 2013, and a decade on, Britain's oldest brewery is taking the relationship further with a significant investment over the next seven years.
Tom Purton, Head of Commercial and Partner at RPC, remarked on the deal, saying: "We have worked with Shepherd Neame for many years, and to be part of its continued growth and aligning its partners with its vision, was a real privilege. 18 months in the making, this strengthened partnership with GXO will allow Shepherd Neame to improve its logistics processes and enhance its service delivery to each part of its market and customer base."
The deal was led by the Commercial, Technology and Outsourcing team at RPC including Commercial Partner Tom Purton and Senior Associates Eleanor Harley and Jonathan Greenway with Senior Associate Rachel Lord providing employment advice. Nigel Wilson (Of Counsel) and Associate Eve Matthews provided support as the transaction reached its conclusion.
