RPC advises on the establishment of Art Capital and initial investment round

Published on 18 September 2024

International law firm RPC has advised on the establishment of new real estate debt advisory business Art Capital, backed by an initial investment from three strategic investors (ACRE Capital, RX London and TTB Partners) alongside Art Capital's founding shareholders.

The investment, which completed on September 2 2024, marks a significant milestone for Art Capital as it looks to build a best-in-class debt advisory team to serve its real estate clients.

Art Capital has the backing of two of the UK’s most prominent nice agents (ACRE Capital and RX London) and Hong Kong based investment firm, TTB Partners.  It has been set up to help tackle an ever more complex financing market, helping to provide high quality solutions to the real estate borrowers it acts for.

The RPC team was led by Partner Jeremy Cunningham and Senior Associate Josh Smith, with support from Associates Yexi Tran and Hadrian Leung. Clare Davis (Senior Associate) and Macaela Joyes (Associate) provided expertise on employment matters.

Jeremy Cunningham commented: "We are very pleased to have guided Art Capital through this initial phase and look forward to seeing this exciting new business go from strength to strength."

Stuart Blieschke and Tim Vaughan, Partners at Art Capital added: "We were delighted to get this deal agreed with three excellent strategic partners who will help us grow out the business and give first-class service to our clients.  The RPC team was superb throughout the process, and we look forward to continuing working with them going forward."
