RPC advises luxury furniture retailer Timothy Oulton and the Halo Group on its acquisition of Sofa Workshop from DFS

Law firm RPC has closed the latest in a string of high-profile retail transactions, acting for Timothy Oulton and the Halo Group on its acquisition of the Sofa Workshop from well-known high-street brand DFS.

The deal – which signed on 26 August – will see Hong Kong-headquartered Timothy Oulton and the Halo Group take over 17 stores in the UK and under the Timothy Oulton Halo brand.

The deal is due to complete mid-September, subject to FCA approval.

RPC has supported clients on a significant number of recent retail matters, involving well-known brands such as House of Fraser, Evans Cycles, Tiger, Globe-Trotter luxury luggage, and Jack Wills.
