RPC advises Howden on acquisition of Singapore-based AEGIS Insurance Agencies
International law firm RPC has advised global insurance broker Howden on its acquisition of AEGIS Insurance Agencies in Singapore, strengthening its commitment to the Asian market.
Under the deal, Howden will further expand its "spectrum of specialities" and investment in expertise to deliver tailored (re)insurance solutions that meet client needs. A link to Howden's press release is here.Established in 2003, AEGIS offers bespoke retail insurance solutions, specialising in professional indemnity, professional liability, pilot loss of license protection, and bonds and financial guarantee schemes.
AEGIS also has strong relationships with private education institutions in Singapore, providing them with fee protection and medical insurance cover.
The acquisition will greatly assist Howden in its ambitions to build a stronger presence in Singapore's private education sector.
