Antony Sassi named RPC Managing Partner
International law firm RPC has elected Antony Sassi as its next Managing Partner. Antony will commence his four-year term on May 1, 2025, succeeding James Miller, who has been in the role since 2017.
Antony has been Asia Managing Partner for RPC since 2019, and sits on the firm's top strategic decision-making body, the Partnership Executive Committee. Antony has been a Partner since 2010 and is widely recognised as one of Hong Kong's leading litigators, advising on some of the most significant pan-Asia and international disputes. Antony will be relocating to London.
"It's a privilege to take on this role," shares Antony Sassi. "RPC is a firm with an exceptional culture, our unique blend of inclusivity and ambition creates an environment where our people can thrive and achieve their best. I'm grateful for the platform that I've been given, James’ accomplishments over the past few years have been impressive. I’m genuinely excited to progress this next chapter as we continue to grow, building a robust and global firm. We remain committed to excelling in our chosen specialist areas of practice and key sectors. At the heart of it all, our goal remains clear, to be the preferred law firm for our clients and the premier firm for establishing and building fulfilling careers."
James Miller will complete his second term as Managing Partner at the end of April 2025. Under James' leadership, RPC has experienced significant growth and transformation with the partnership growing from 79 to 136 and a 74% increase in revenue (rising from £98.9m in 2017 to £172.2m in 2024). The firm has maintained an unwavering focus on building trusted relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client delivery. It has strategically expanded its international presence and successfully balanced growth across its core sectors handling both contentious and non-contentious work.
James concludes: "It has been and remains an honour to serve RPC as Managing Partner. I am immensely proud of what we collectively continue to achieve thanks to the energy, dedication, teamwork, and phenomenal expertise of our colleagues. With the best part of another four months in the role, I don't intend to take my foot off the accelerator now. I look forward to handing the reins to someone of Antony's calibre, knowing the firm is in the best possible hands to achieve its undoubted potential."
