Yi-Shun Teoh is a Partner and Solicitor Advocate in our Commercial Disputes team in Hong Kong. He specialises in international arbitration and commercial litigation. Yi-Shun represents private equity firms, financial institutions, insurers, technology and professional services firms. He has acted in some of the leading set aside and enforcement cases before the Hong Kong courts over the past decade. Yi-Shun also represents clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement. He is recognised in The Legal 500 Arbitration Powerlist: Hong Kong and Asian Legal Business (ALB) Hong Kong Rising Stars 2023. Yi-Shun is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a member of the Arbitration Committees of the Law Society of Hong Kong and ICC Hong Kong. He is triple-qualified in Hong Kong, England and Wales and New South Wales (Australia).

Representing a leading Asian private equity firm in its successful US$50 million claim against an Asian telecommunications group in relation to the redemption of notes, including related winding up and bankruptcy proceedings in the BVI and Singapore

Representing a Dutch technology company in its successful defence of a US$10 million claim by one of China's largest technology and social media companies in a CIETAC arbitration in Beijing in relation to the alleged breach of a joint venture agreement

Representing a leading Asian reinsurance broker in its successful defence of a claim by an Indonesian cedant in an arbitration in Jakarta in relation to the placement of a reinsurance treaty

Representing a leading Hong Kong firm of quantity surveyors in its successful defence of a claim by a contractor for alleged professional negligence in relation to a construction project in Hong Kong
