Michael specialises in resolving real estate disputes, in particular those involving commercial leases, property development and property insolvency. His clients include corporate occupiers, property developers, retailers, family offices, investment funds, and institutional landowners.

"Collaboration is key to the way that I work, and I draw teams of specialists together to achieve results for my clients."

"I thoroughly enjoy working with clients in the retail and hospitality sectors, and other businesses where real estate strategy is critical to their success, as this provides opportunities to add real value through tailored legal advice. Much of my work has an international flavour - I regularly act for clients based in offshore jurisdictions, Europe and the Far East.

I take the time to understand my clients' key drivers and commercial objectives, and then develop and implement a dispute resolution strategy around them. Collaboration is key to the way that I work, and I draw teams of specialists together to achieve results for my clients.

Clients enjoy working with me because I provide, pragmatic, solution-focused, advice. They also know that, if they find themselves in difficulty, I will fight their corner tenaciously and work tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome."
