“My international experience is far reaching. I have practised in Singapore, taught in Dar es Salaam, helped set up an office in the UAE, and conducted cases before tribunals and courts globally. 

I have dealt with government-to-government negotiations - including the Paris Club - acted in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, and dealt with cases in the Hague, and LCIA, LCAM, ICC, UNCITRAL, LMAA, SIAC, IDCR, CIArb and WIPO arbitrations.

I was chair of the IBA International Sales Committee, work with the Ministry of Justice to promote English law and the English legal system, and acted for  the British Government's Export Credit Agency - which provides support to British exporters - for 30 years.

Jonathan’s recent work highlights:

Chaired an LCIA arbitration between Russian and Maltese interests regarding a $30million loan agreement.

Sole arbitrator in the ICC arbitration between Iraqi and US interests.

Arbitrated a post-completion warranty dispute regarding a cable-laying vessel servicing wind farms ($25m).
