Chris specialises in a wide range of commercial disputes with emphasis on high value civil fraud, banking and financial services disputes, shareholder disputes and emerging technology disputes. Chris is widely recognised as an expert in the field of cryptoassets and a founding member of the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery Network.

“The nature of my work has a strong international dimension, and has involved multiple jurisdictions in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Middle East. I also advise on proceedings in the English High Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court, as well as on arbitration proceedings.

My work frequenly involves significant amounts of data where I have found my quantitative analysis and coding skills have consistently helped improved case merits and drive cost efficiencies. I’ve also authored of a number of articles on the application of game theory to litigation settlement and spoken on the topic.

I’ve written and spoken widely on cryptoasset and increasingly AI-related matters. In particular I have spoken on panels at events such as London International Disputes Week, the London International Investigations and Asset Recovery Conference, C5 Crypto and Digital Asset Fraud & Recovery, Nordic Blockchain in Copenhagen, and the Innovation Digital Economy Summit in Qatar. A number of my articles have been published in legal journals and I’ve also been published in City A.M., the Law Society Gazette, the Global Legal Post, and Law360, and quoted in articles that appeared in the London Evening Standard and on law.com.
