Carolin advises financial institutions and corporate clients across a diverse range of sectors on complex and high value disputes. She has particular experience in civil fraud and misrepresentation claims, as well as joint venture disputes, contentious insolvency matters, enforcement proceedings, freezing injunctions and asset tracing. She has also represented clients in contentious competition matters.

Carolin's recent work highlights:

  • Acted for a bank successfully defending fraud proceedings in Suppipat and Ors v Narongdej and Ors [2023] EWHC 1988 (Comm), in which the claimants sought in excess of US$2 billion in damages in relation to an alleged fraudulent conspiracy concerning shares in a wind farm development company. 
  • Acted for the claimant in Loreley Financing (Jersey) No 30 v Credit Suisse, a claim which alleged fraud in relation to a US$100m CDO which was credit linked to a portfolio of US RMBS.
  • Represented a UK mobile network operator in follow-on claims against cartelists in a number of industries.
