Carmel is a Partner of our Hong Kong and Singapore offices and runs our regional practice as Financial Lines Lead for Asia. She is a specialist in insurance advisory and disputes, with a particular focus on professional and financial risks including cyber and W&I. Carmel is recognised as an expert in policy wordings for use across Asia, and also advises local insurers on US exposures. She is a member of the Hong Kong Law Society and sits on their Foreign Lawyers Committee.

“I support our client insurers in navigating complex issues of policy coverage and conveying their views to clients and key stakeholders in commercial, concise, and accessible ways. We also provide support for policy wording reviews. Most of my clients are based in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore, although my current caseload spans Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan and Australia.This job is about more than providing legal advice. It's about providing perspective, looking at matters holistically, and coming up with commercial solutions that are legally viable. Essentially, we are problem solvers.
