“In many ways, life is about the quality of our decision making.”
“I enjoy assessing complex risks and making decisions others find difficult. In many ways, life is about the quality of our decision making.
I am good at understanding a client's business, the technical aspects of their work, and the projects they are involved in very quickly. I can also spot the key issues in a case - and predict an opponent's arguments - at an early stage. That helps with strategy.
I am very frank in the advice I give, and explain it in simple terms. I also listen to my clients and ask them what they want, without making assumptions.
With client relationships, I think responsiveness is key, together with language that is simple and friendly.”
Chris’ recent work highlights:
Advising a professional indemnity insurer on coverage in a £10m-plus claim against architects regarding fire safety defects in an apartment block.
Settling a multimillion-pound claim against a large engineering practice arising from alleged defects in a non-standard roof design.
Acting for commercial insurance brokers in the defence of a £3.5m claim by a group of construction companies. After a drawn-out fight, the Claimants discontinued their court proceedings.
