Ash Daniells
Senior Associate
Ash is an insurance lawyer specialising in litigation and regulatory investigations. He acts in claims involving financial professionals, brokers, solicitors, and leading insurers - including claims in the Channel Islands. Ash co-leads RPC Bristol's mentoring initiatives and is Chair of the Trustees for the charity Ablaze.
“I believe in always being in my client’s corner – I fight each case as if it was against me.”
“I love the way that working in insurance exposes me to many different people. This means I can be a reassuring presence for them, often helping them through incredibly stressful situations.
I'm commercial. If I can resolve a matter promptly, with a reduced financial exposure, I will. Clients like that I’m a problem solver, so I’ll often receive instructions where problems have arisen and progress needs to occur.
I'm human! I'm happy to have a call to discuss the file, but will also likely ask about that trip you took recently, or how your children are getting on at school. I'm a big believer in the need to see past job titles, treat each other with respect, and be approachable to all.
I aim to make the process as easy as possible for my clients. My job is to ease the burden and take the stress away where possible. I aim to be both their trusted advisor, and someone who can help navigate the litigation they find themselves in.”
Ash’s recent work highlights:
Acting for professional indemnity insurers in relation to a claim brought against them under the Third Parties (Rights Against Insurers) Act 2010.
Acting for multiple Insurers in respect of a multi-million-pound claim against various pension providers.
Acting for large accountants and financial services firms in managing civil litigation claims, professional disciplinary proceedings, and FCA-imposed past business reviews.
