“Insurance touches every aspect of our lives, and can be a real force for good.”

“I love the fact we are dealing in real, tangible assets, and can help people involved in construction - possibly the UK’s most important industry.

I bring a sharp intellect, plus a commerciality that enables me to find practical and timely solutions to legal problems. Because I understand their business and their industry, and I can use that understanding to provide truly tailored advice on how to reach a timely, cost-effective resolution to any claim. I am also always looking out for and sharing business intelligence that will help them generally.

I have assisted clients in the defence of claims relating to construction projects across the world, including New Caledonia, Larnaca and Rome.

No two clients are exactly the same. I take a bespoke approach to each, seeking to understand their needs and preferred ways of working and then putting in place systems to ensure that I communicate with them in ways that meet those needs.”

Alexandra’s recent work highlights:

Defending a £2.3m claim brought under a development agreement, where the claimant in effect capitulated just weeks before trial.

Defending an £8m claim brought by a developer against a construction warranty provider concerning its premium rating.

Titan v Colliers (Court of Appeal) – resulted in a nomination for Insurance Team of the Year.
