Trade Unions & Collective Rights

Navigating the complexities of trade union relations can be a time-consuming – and costly – challenge for your business. Our expert trade union lawyers are here to make the process as straightforward as possible.

Overview

When dealing with union matters – whether involving collective bargaining, industrial action, or consultation in the context of TUPE and collective redundancies – you may need to approach the problem from a creative angle.

Our expert team of employment lawyers and trade union lawyers have the experience and skillset necessary to identify and pursue solutions that work for you. This means getting to grips with the intricacies of your business and working collaboratively towards a clear end-goal.

We have worked with a US-headquartered multinational organisation to resist a compulsory recognition application by the UK’s largest union. We have also previously persuaded the head of legal at one of the UK’s largest trade unions that their position on a critical business issue was wrong, and that they should adopt our interpretation of the law. This was met very favourably and highlighted our unique approach in dispute resolution.

If you have a particular case that requires the expertise of our trade union lawyers, please contact a member of our team to find out how we can help you.
