Employers' practices liability
We offer complete employers' practices liability coverage advice and are well versed in all claims that arise within the employment relationship sphere. Our experience advising financial lines insurers on claims coverage advice is also extensive.
Working with insurers and their insureds we defend a wide range of claims from general day-to-day disputes to high-profile media sensitive matters, negotiating settlements and defending these in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, Court of Appeal and even the Supreme Court. We are particularly adept at driving defence strategy, accounting for and balancing financial, legal, and reputational risk to achieve the desired outcome for you.
Pensions trustee liability
Our pensions litigation team works closely with insurance clients and their pension trustee insureds to provide high-quality defence advice in this highly technical area. We have clear expertise in successfully defending claims against pension trustees, including claims involving defects with amendments to scheme governing documentation, investment decisions (including in the wake of the liability driven investment (LDI) crisis) and member overpayments and underpayments.
