Design rights: Is this their time to shine?
Duration: 3hrs
Event type: Seminar
Provided by: RPC
Join us on Tuesday 29 October, for our rescheduled Design Law event. We are delighted to host His Honour Judge Hacon, Presiding Judge of the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC)and Chris Mills, Director of Rights Policy and Enforcement at the IPO, who join us for this thought provoking discussion – exploring the practical implications of design law and if now really is their 'time to shine'.
Following recent developments in design law and with potential change on the horizon (UK consultation on the designs legal framework, WIPO's proposed Design Law Treaty and recent case law including M&S v Aldi), we think it pertinent to bring this debate (Design rights: is this their time to shine?) to life via a thought provoking panel discussion.
Whether you are a business owner, a designer, a lawyer, a manufacturer, a student or simply interested in design rights, this discussion aims to provide you with practical insight and best practice when navigating the complex and dynamic landscape of design law.
This event follows the launch of our recently published Design Law and Practice Book, in collaboration with Lexis Nexis. The new edition, which was formerly known as Sykes: Intellectual Property in Designs, was authored by our expert IP team at RPC.
