London training contract

We have 14 training contract opportunities per intake in our London office.

If you’re a creative thinker who wants to work for a firm that values personality as much as professionalism, we want to hear from you.

Six months will be spent in four different teams.  You'll complete at least one Commercial seat and one Insurance seat which will develop your commercial and legal skills and give you a good understanding of our business.  You may also have an opportunity to be seconded to one of our clients as an in-house lawyer. This will give you the chance to form genuine relationships with the people behind the cases.  In addition, you may get an opportunity to spend six months of your contract seconded to our Hong Kong or Singapore offices. 

We believe personal growth comes from being challenged. You’ll be given real responsibility throughout your training, but you’ll never be left to fend for yourself. Our training is award-winning. You’ll have a Supervising Partner and Associate to help you day to day, a mentor to show you the ropes, and a dedicated Trainee development team to support you.

The application process

Recruitment for our London training contract commences with an online application form, followed by an online assessment. Take a practice online assessment here.

If you're shortlisted, you'll be invited to one of our assessment days in August during which we’ll get to know each other. There are a variety of exercises and, while they might be challenging, they’re also a lot of fun. You’ll meet some of our partners, lawyers and trainees and get a real feel for our unique culture.  If you're successful following the assessment day, your training contract will start two years later.

When should I apply?

Applications are open from 17 March 2025 to 23 June 2025.

Law students should apply in their penultimate and/or final year. Non-law students should apply in their final year.  Graduates can apply at any time.
